PAGES (Past Global Changes) for whom I designed a magazine layout in 2014, supports research which aims to understand the environment in the past to obtain better predictions of future climate changes and form strategies for sustainability. They requested I design a visual system for their research teams that fit into the PAGES corporate Identity but represented the working group’s research subject and name, which is normally an acronym. The typography is also related to the subject matter. The orange pie references the “sensor” in the the PAGES logo to bring visual unity to these groups.
I
I also created a visual system for the various research groups that work under PAGES. Each has a small illustration based on the subject matter in a circle next to the acronym of the group. This is used to show the key ingredient or focus of the group’s data collection.
