Leichte Sprache

(translates to “Easy Language”)

Illustrations commissioned by Canton Bern’s website with governmental information for everyone about subjects ranging from taxes to transportation, health care to welfare, and safety of its’ citizens to for those with cognitive, visual or other challenges. The language is simplified, the fonts are bigger, and colors were carefully chosen. The challenge for me was to simplify very complex subjects, such as sexual violence, physical abuse, racism and drug addiction into simple pictograms that everyone can understand.
